GW-501516, better known as Cardarine, has become one of the most popular cutting agents used by bodybuilders, athletes, and people who want to get lean as quickly as possible. It has become one of the most sought-after SARMs on the market, even though it is not technically a SARM at all.

In this article, I’ll give you the straight truth on everything you need to know in order to make a decision about taking GW-501516.

Key Takeaways on Cardarine

  • Cardarine is one of the most popular SARM-like substances for cutting.
  • It is a PPAR receptor agonist which stimulates the expression of genes involved in fat and glucose metabolism.
  • This allows it to effectively switch the body from a glucose-burning to a fat-burning state which promotes rapid fat loss.
Cardarine Summary

Cardarine (GW-501516)

Cardarine is also known to be a PPAR (Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor) agonist. These receptors are located at various sites in the body, one of which is on muscles. Cardarine binds with PPAR and carries out multiple effects such as reduction in glucose metabolism, promoting fat loss, and enhancing endurance.

Cardarine enhances Lipid metabolization, meaning that it speeds up the rate at which your body takes stored body fat and converts it into energy. Bodybuilders often use this supplement when they are prepping for a contest, as it fits very well into a cutting stack.

Cardarine has been found to lower harmful LDL cholesterol and boost healthy HDL cholesterol.

That means that the drug can potentially help people to avoid suffering from heart attacks, cardiovascular disease, strokes, blocked arteries, and much more besides. It’s rare that performance-enhancing drugs actually promote cardiovascular health and well-being, but that is precisely what Cardarine appears to do, making it very popular.

Cardarine

Cardarine (GW-501516) is a relatively new drug compared with other steroids, as it was created back in the early 1990s, 1992 to be precise.

Like other types of steroids, the drug initially started out life in the medical industry, as it was created to help treat numerous cancers, and to help reduce dangerous LDL cholesterol in the body.

The drug was developed by Glaxo Smith Kline to prevent the growth and development of cancerous tumors in the body, with the added bonus of helping to regulate cholesterol.

It was soon seen that Cardarine sped up lipid metabolization, which in simple terms means that it speeds up the rate in which your body burns fat and converts it into energy.

As mentioned earlier, Cardarine (GW-501516) is NOT a SARM. SARMs are Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators, whereas Cardarine is actually a Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptor or PPAR for short.

PPARs work in a very similar way to SARMs, with one important difference. They target androgen receptors which help to stimulate glucose metabolization in the muscle tissues.

  • Research also suggests that Cardarine could improve endurance due to its effects on Muscle Fiber Types

Cardarine Benefits

Fat Loss

Cardarine enhances Lipid metabolization, meaning that it speeds up the rate at which your body takes stored body fat and converts it into energy.

Bodybuilders often use this supplement when they are prepping for a contest, as it fits very well into a cutting stack.

Studies haven’t really looked at fat loss, but users report that the fat loss effects of Cardarine are quite substantial.

Lowers LDL Cholesterol

Cardarine has been found to lower harmful LDL cholesterol and boost healthy HDL cholesterol.

That means that the drug can potentially help people to avoid suffering from heart attacks, cardiovascular disease, strokes, blocked arteries, and much more besides.

It’s rare that performance-enhancing drugs actually promote cardiovascular health and well-being, but that is precisely what Cardarine appears to do, making it very popular.

Increased Athletic Performance

You need to reduce your caloric intake, while at the same increasing your cardio exercise while you are on a Caradine fat loss cycle.

However, when people are dieting on fewer calories than their bodies are accustomed to, they can experience energy crashes.

As a result, they feel tired and lethargic, and their strength levels plummet.

Cardarine however, is a drug that not only promotes fat loss but also helps to increase energy levels.

Athletes discovered that Cardarine worked better than any pre-workout formula currently available at the time as it gave them plenty of energy, which lasted for hours on end.

Cardarine Dosage

  • If you are a first-time user of Cardrine you should take 10 mg/ml per day over a 4-6 week cycle.
  • From your second cycle onwards you can increase the dosage to 20 mg/ml per day over a 6-8 week cycle. Split this into a morning and evening dose of 10 mg/ml.

Because Cardarine is not a SARM and has no effect on testosterone levels, you do not need to follow a PCT cycle after your cycle.

Cardarine Stacks

Ostarine and Cardarine stack

The most popular Cardarine stack is to combine it with another powerful fat-loss agent, Ostarine. As well as speeding up the fat loss, Ostarine will also help to ensure that you don’t lose any muscle mass during your cut.

This is a common problem on most cuts.

Here is the ideal dosage for a Cardarine and Ostarine stack:

  • Cardarine – 10 ml/mg per day
  • Ostarine – 15 ml/mg per day
  • Stack length = 8 weeks

So, what sort of results can you expect on this stack?

Results will vary from person to person and will depend on how hard you are training and what sort of caloric deficit you are able to achieve.

However, some guys have been known to lose 10 percent of their body weight over an 8-week cycle, without losing any muscle mass.

You could also use it with MK-677, something that will help accelerate fat loss even more.

Cardarine Side Effects

Potential Liver Damage

This is perhaps the most concerning potential side effect associated with this drug. Even though it is much safer than most anabolic steroids currently on the market, one primary concern is that it has been found to damage the liver in studies conducted on mice.

Studies are still ongoing as to whether or not it could possibly cause the same levels of damage to the human liver, but it is certainly worth considering.

Potential Digestive Issues

Another possible side effect of this drug is potential digestive issues.

Some users reported mild stomach aching and stomach cramps, whereas others have experienced bowel trouble, with constipation and/or diarrhea being the most common.

How to Take Cardarine

Cardarine is pretty simple when it comes to SARMs, really. It can be taken with tablets or orally. It is not advised to take the injectable version, as this version has not been tested at all and the effects are unknown.

When taking Cardine, it might be helpful to follow the following tips:

  • Take both a liver and kidney supplement
  • Follow the correct training and dieting plan
  • Ensure you keep your cholesterol levels and hypertension in check
  • Lastly, do not abuse this compound or any other

As of this writing (August 2023), Cardarine is legal for sale in every country around the world except for Australia. You can only get it in Australia with the aid of a doctor’s prescription. In the United States, however, all SARMs, including Cardarine, must be labeled for research purposes only and not for human consumption.

That is because they have not been approved for human consumption by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Final Thoughts on Cardarine

Cardarine is the most potent SARMs-like compound for fat loss. It effectively turns your body into a fat-burning furnace by switching it from a glucose to a fat-burning machine. You should stack Cardarine with Ostarine to expedite your fat loss and prevent the loss of muscle mass.

Thank you for putting this info out there to learn how to get started with SARMs
If the recommend dose is 10 mg/ml per day and the bottle syas its 50ml, does this mean I will need a new bottle every 5 days? I just want to make sure I order enough.
Thanks

Hi John, that’s not quite correct. Let me help you quickly, if the dose of the bottle is 10mg per ml, and there is 50ml, that means there is (10 x 50 = 500) 500mg of the compound in total. Since your dose could be at 10mg per day, a bottle would theoretically last you (500/10 = 50) 50 days. Hope that helps

That means it’s a 50 ML bottle and 1 ML equals 10mg of Caradine. You have 50 10mg servings so it’s a little more than 6 weeks
