And for health and fitness in general.
We also know right off the bat how tough it is to build muscle.
Building muscle is not something that happens overnight.
And if you’re looking for a quick fix then you’re unfortunately in the wrong place.
There is no quick fix for getting yourself jacked.
Even when it comes to anabolic steroids.
Yes, anabolic steroids do provide fast results.
But you still need to put the hard work in and make sure you’re eating right and training hard.
Today we’re going to be taking a look at is Kris Gethin on steroids or natural.
Many of you will probably be familiar with who Kris Gethin is already.
And if you’re not, you will be by the time you finish reading this article.
Kris Gethin is a man that constantly finds himself being accused of taking steroids, but are these accusations fair?
While we don’t know for certain, we’ll soon have a much better idea.
So, if you want to find out more about Kris.
And anabolic steroids in general, make yourself comfortable.
And let’s make a start.
Table Of Contents
Don’t worry, we’ll soon be making a start and getting to the good stuff.
But first, we need to take a look at steroids, or rather, our view on steroids.
Anabolic steroids are very dangerous.
And they have been known to be fatal when used irresponsibly.
We, therefore, do not condone their use in any way, shape, or form.
With that said, we also are not here to judge people that use them either.
People are going to use steroids whether legal or not.
And we would much rather that they used them safely and responsibly.
We do not know Kris personally, and therefore the content of this article is based purely on speculation on our parts.
So, let’s get the ball rolling.
Kris Gethin is a man that, quite honestly, needs no introduction in the health and fitness community.
Despite this, we’re going to provide you with one anyways.
You know because we’re helpful like that.
Kris a man of many talents, and is idolized by millions of fitness fans and bodybuilding enthusiasts from all over the globe.
He is a pro bodybuilder, a fitness model, a writer over at bodybuilding.com, a social media fitness ambassador.
And the CEO of Kaged supplements.
Which is his very own supplement company!
Kris Gethin is Welsh by origin, but because he is now so successful and so committed to his craft.
He spends the majority of his time in the USA.
He is a man that thrives on chaos as his schedule is one of the busiest you can ever imagine.
The man has probably not sat down for longer than 10 minutes in his life.
He owns several gyms, he works as a PT.
He is a fitness model, a bodybuilder, an author, a CEO, a businessman, a motivational speaker, a social media personality, and more.
He travels all over the globe speaking at seminars and appearing at fitness expos, and that’s when he isn’t competing.
He has trained some of the best bodybuilders on the scene at the moment.
And he continues to inspire.
So far we’ve looked at Kris and how he likes to keep himself busy while earning big bucks in the process, and that’s before we’ve even checked out his stats.
Kris is a very big dude and has one of the most aesthetic physiques in the industry today.
He stands at 5ft 8 inches tall and walks around at around 220 pounds off-season.
While when competing he competes at between 180 and 190 pounds.
He is always ripped, shredded, and vascular, even when he is off-season at 220 pounds.
Just to give an idea of how big that is.
Arnold Schwarzenegger was 6ft 2 and was only 15 – 20 pounds heavier than Kris, who is 6 inches shorter.
We know how huge Arnie looked.
So imagine Kris when he is well into the off-season!
Not only is he big and jacked, but he is also symmetrical and aesthetic as well.
Kris isn’t just your typical gym rat that trains in Gym Shark clothing and eats every meal out of a Tupperware while constantly talking about ‘Gains’.
No, it’s clear that Kris is blessed with superior genetics.
And when you combine this with the work ethic that he possesses.
You can expect great things.
But, are Kris’ toned ABS and cannonball delts the work of pure dedication and great genes.
Or does he perhaps have certain anabolic compounds to thank for his superior physique?
So, by now you can probably tell that you’re not dealing with a typical guy that tries to eat right and train when he can be bothered.
Kris is a man that is very much dedicated to his cause.
With that said, there are plenty of natural bodybuilders out there who train equally as hard as Kris.
And who is just as strict with their diet as him.
And they don’t look anywhere near as good.
Kris has great genes, that’s obvious, but many people online.
Simply do not believe that his physique was attainable naturally.
All you have to do is read Kris’ posts on social media and it won’t take long to find people accusing him of using steroids.
While people always seem to troll people in the limelight, Kris, in particular.
Is very often singled out.
The main reason for this, other than how awesome he looks.
Is due to the fact that Kris is adamant that he is a natural bodybuilder.
If you check out his bio on bodybuilding.com.
You’ll see that he is a lifetime natural pro bodybuilder and that he has won numerous natural contests in the past.
Kris has also claimed natural numerous times online before.
Now, he could very well be telling the truth, although when you think about it.
He would stand to lose a lot if he admitted to using steroids.
This would cost him sponsorship deals, it would put some clients off from hiring him to train them.
And would tarnish his reputation.
While it is admirable for bodybuilders on steroids to admit that they’re using them and to talk openly and honestly about steroid use.
You can understand why some bodybuilders are forced to claim natural.
Remember, what you are about to read is based purely on speculation by us.
We don’t know for certain whether Kris is on steroids or not.
But we do know which potential tell-tale signs of steroid use to look for.
So, now that we know more about Kris.
We can now look at whether we think he has used steroids or is using steroids.
To achieve his stunning physique.
Now, before we get into this in more detail.
We need to look at the fact that each person is genetically unique.
This means that we all have differently shaped parts of the anatomy.
Some people can only ever build a 4 pack.
Despite how lean they get and how hard they work the ABS.
Others can achieve an 8 pack set of ABS.
Some have small abs and some have larger ones.
Generally with steroid use, however, you’ll see that the abs look square and blocky.
Almost as if they belong on Minecraft.
His midsection itself is also very blocky.
Which some believe is down to possible HGH use.
The human growth hormone can cause the stomach to distend and make a man look pregnant because it causes the internal organs to expand in size and push on the abdominal wall.
Sounds gross, right?
Well, if you’ve seen it, it also looks gross too.
At 5ft 8 and 220 pounds off-season, Kris Gethin isn’t small.
In fact, he looks pretty darn huge such as Bradley Martyn and Calum Con Moger.
He also happens to be much larger than proven steroid users.
Frank Zane for example, was the first man to win Mr.Olympia at a weight of under 200 pounds.
Frank won at just over 180 pounds and was an inch taller.
So, Kris competes at between 185 and 190 and is an inch smaller.
Frank has gone on record as admitting he was using steroids when he competed.
As back then many of them weren’t illegal.
When bulking, a lot of pro bodybuilders that train naturally like to eat clean and healthy foods.
By performing a clean bulk.
The idea here is to bulk up by creating a slight caloric surplus while eating fresh, healthy, nutritious food.
This means that when they bulk up.
They don’t look bloated or fat.
Kris in the off-season, however, looks bloated and puffy-faced.
In fact, when you compare him an off-season with on-season you’ll struggle to recognize the fact that it’s the correct person at all.
Steroid users often look bloated and puffy-faced when bulking.
Because they use anabolic steroids that cause water retention which causes them to look bloated.
For all we know, the reason Kris looks bloated when bulking could be because he eats a lot of sodium-rich junk when bulking.
Or it could be because he uses steroids which cause water retention.
One thing that is for certain, however, is the fact that he definitely does look very bloated when he is bulking.
As mentioned in his bodybuilding.com bio.
Kris has competed in numerous natural contests and has won many natural titles.
He has won the natural Idaho championships and natural world bodybuilding championships such as Steve cook.
When it comes to drug testing, each federation is different.
Some perform blood tests, some carry out polygraph tests.
Some perform urine tests, and some implement all three.
The interesting thing here is that some federations out there require you to have been drug-free for life in order to compete.
Whereas the ones Kris competed in only require you to be drug-free for 7 years.
This means that, in theory, he could have been on steroids for 10 years.
And off them for 7.
And he could still compete and claim natty.
While many of his gains would have been lost, with the right diet and training.
Some of the gains he made while on gear could still have been preserved.
Giving him an unfair advantage over bodybuilders who were indeed drug-free for life.
One thing that is for certain, however, is the fact that he has passed drug tests.
And there is a lot to be said there.
To really gauge whether or not an athlete could have used steroids.
It is best to see how they used to look when they first started training.
Compared with how they look now.
Kris has been lifting weights since a teen.
But not training seriously until a young adult.
There are pics out there of Kris when he first started lifting.
And if you compare them with now, he looks totally different.
He looks to be a good 40 pounds heavier.
If not more, along with super lean conditioning and vascularity.
He doesn’t look too much older in the face in the after picture either.
Which indicates the transformation was years, rather than decades.
Based on how Kris used to look to how he looks now.
As well as based on what we do know about anabolic steroid use.
We have to say that we believe Kris could have used steroids at some point.
To help him add size and condition to his frame.
Likely candidates could include things such as testosterone, Dianabol, and Trenbolone.
