Anabolic steroids are often blamed by the media for virtually every crime and problem in the history of the world.
The bubonic plague?
The worldwide recession?
Obviously, that’s complete nonsense.
Although there are plenty of so-called reality TV “stars” that are clearly using the gear.
But that’s a whole other story.
Steroids are extremely misunderstood and like it or not.
They are a huge part of bodybuilding, whether people want to admit it or not.
Contrary that what some may tell you.
It’s just not possible for an average-sized man to gain upwards of 100 pounds of muscle in a matter of months naturally.
In fact, unless he was vastly underweight, to begin with.
It wouldn’t be possible for him to gain that amount of muscle in a lifetime.
Building muscle naturally is very long.
The arduous process that requires the patience of a saint.
If you want quick results, then bodybuilding isn’t for you.
With some bodybuilders, however, people are never quite sure whether they’re actually on steroids or if they could be natural.
And Mike Rashid is one of these people.
That’s why we’re going to look at the question of is Mike Rashid on steroids or is he natural?
We’re going to learn more about Mike, his history.
And of course, whether we believe he is on steroids or if he has ever used steroids.

Before we proceed any further, we first need to get the legal stuff out of the way.
To begin with, we do not condone the use of steroids.
But at the same time, we don’t judge those that do.
Steroids are dangerous, there’s no denying that.
But so is alcohol, and you don’t see the media chastising breweries and bars do you?
We do not know Mike Rashid personally.
And we are in no way associated with him whatsoever.
We have no access to his medical records or history.
And we have no proof that he has ever used steroids, or that he has NOT used steroids either.
Therefore, the content of this article is pure speculation on our part.
And should in no way be interpreted as being factual.
Now that that’s over with.
Let’s learn more about Mike Rashid.
Mike Rashid is a former boxer turned bodybuilder that is considered one of the most popular figures in the world of bodybuilding.
Not only is a bodybuilder and former boxer, but he is also a keen entrepreneur, a fitness guru, a social media influencer such as Bradley Martyn, Simeon Panda, and Ulisses Jr, Calum Von Moger, and an author.
It’s safe to say that Mike is a pretty talented guy and when you see his physique.
You will know that he is also an incredibly hard worker.
As if that wasn’t enough, Mike is also the co-owner of a gym.
But not any gym, Mike is the co-owner of the Iron-Addicts Gym in Miami.
Which is very relevant to this article.
Well, we’ll get to that a little later on.
As if that wasn’t enough, Mike is also very good friends with a certain CT Fletcher, who you probably know as being one of the most hardcore bodybuilders on the face of the earth.
Mike Rashid has muscles in places that most people don’t even have places.
He is a fairly controversial figure, and he certainly has his haters.
When you rack up more than 2 million followers on social media, however, a little trolling is almost certainly an inevitability.
On paper, Mike isn’t all that big.
He’s 5ft 11 and weighs in at around 225 pounds.
At 36 years of age, many believe that he has yet to even reach his peak in terms of physical potential.
Since he was a young child, Mike has always been physically active as his father would encourage him to exercise and to take part in outdoor physical activities.
He would regularly chop wood in the garden, use trees as climbing and exercise apparatus, and perform sprints in the sand.
His father saw great potential in him and encouraged him to take up a sport.
His sport of choice was boxing, and Mike took to it like a duck to water.
When he was still in his teens, Mike became a National Golden Gloves winner, which is a feat that is still highly impressive in this day and age.
Through training for boxing, however, Mike started to see his body improving and he started to enjoy training for boxing rather than the actual boxing itself.
His strength levels began to increase and he noticed that he was recording some pretty impressive lifts.
He started to work with social media fitness stars such as CT Fletcher and Dana Linn Bailey and he began turning heads.
He took up bodybuilding and decided to compete.
His best-ever placing was a first-place finish 2010 Mid-Michigan Natural Bodybuilding Championships.
Before we look at whether Mike could be using steroids, we must first address the Iron-Addicts controversy.
As mentioned, Mike is the co-owner of the Iron-Addicts Gym in Miami.
If that name sounds familiar to you, it’s because the gym was at the center of an illegal steroid ring and was raided and subsequently closed down not too long ago.
Mike’s business partner was Richard Rodriguez, who was arrested for selling steroids.
It turns out that Rodriguez was using his office as a base for his illegal steroid deals and was allegedly supplying some of the biggest names in sports, athletics, and Hollywood.
Richard was NOT selling steroids from the gym, in fact, no illegal drugs were ever sold from the gym according to the DEA.
Rodriguez simply handled the paper trail from the gym, and it turns out that Mike had no idea what was going on.
Mike Rashid was not arrested nor charged and has claimed that he would never have gone into business with Rodriguez had he known what he was up to.
Now it’s time to look at whether we believe that Mike Rashid is natural, or whether he is, in fact, using steroids.
Remember, the following is pure speculation on our part:
Now, if there was evidence to suggest that Rashid was involved in the sale of illegal steroids, then he would have been arrested and charged.
He was not.
Therefore, it is more than reasonable to believe him when he says he was not involved.
Despite this, however, owning a gym with a man that was arrested for dealing steroids is not going to do you any favors if you’re trying to claim that you’re natural.
For the record, Rashid has never outright claimed to be natural, but he has never admitted to using steroids either.
Mike Rashid is a genetic marvel.
He is incredibly muscular and lean.
He is ripped to shreds and is as strong as an Ox.
What’s more, when you see how much his body has changed over the years, it’s hard to believe that he could be 100% natty.
Mike also has very broad and rounded shoulders and traps.
These are often the parts of the anatomy that change the most when a person begins using steroids, and if you compare Mike’s delts and traps now to how they used to look, you can see that they have certainly changed.
Perhaps he simply started doing more lateral raises and shrugs in the gym, or perhaps he used steroids to help get him to where he wanted to be?
Mike Rashid is not only big and lean, but he is also extremely powerful as well.
Mike has bench pressed 475 pounds and has deadlifted over 600 pounds.
These are not average lifts, they’re not even average lifts for an individual that trains regularly, they are impressively plain and simple.
Some people are just born strong and there’s no question it, but it can’t be denied that steroids can also help people to really increase their strength while still packing mass onto their frames.
Not only is Mike Rashid incredibly big and muscular, but he is also extremely lean.
If you follow Mike on social media, you’ll know that he is ripped to shreds virtually all of the time.
In fact, if you were to try to look for a picture or video of Mike where he doesn’t have visible ABS, you would probably struggle.
Mike walks around in single-digit body fat percentages virtually all year long, and as you know, getting your weight that low and maintaining it, is something that only a select few people in the world will ever achieve.
Mike, however, seems to make it look easy.
It may simply be that he has superior genetics, a strong work ethic, and metabolism like a furnace, or it could be that he uses certain anabolic compounds to keep his body fat percentages in the single-digit range.
Although the human growth hormone is not a steroid.
It is a hormone that is often used by bodybuilders as part of a steroid cycle to build muscle, burn fat, and improve athletic performance.
One of the side-effects associated with high doses of HGH is where the stomach becomes bloated and distended, making a person look as if they are pregnant.
This is because HGH causes the organs to grow and expand.
Which then pushes on the abdomen and causes it to look bloated and distended.
What does this have to do with Mike Rashid?
Well, there are some pictures floating around out there.
Where Mike does appear to have a bit of Palumboism or an HGH gut exactly such as Bostin Loyd.
It could just be that the pictures were taken at an unfortunate angle.
Or when he was perhaps breathing out, but they certainly do make it look like Mike may have a bit of an HGH gut.
When he was competing in the NPC like Julian Smith.
Mike competed as a natural.
In fact, he won a natural contest.
This surely gives credibility to the fact that he may indeed be natural after all.
Well, not exactly because that was then, and since then he has added a decent amount of muscle to his frame.
Not only that, but the NPC’s testing policies are pretty laughable.
They claim to be a natural organization, but many of their athletes have been found to have used steroids in the past.
The reason why they claim to be natural is that they do indeed test their athletes.
The problem, however, is that they test their athletes after a contest.
Knowing when they will be tested gives the bodybuilders plenty of time to run a cycle and plan it so that they are clean when they are tested.
Not only that, but they don’t publicize the results anyway.
So there isn’t much of an incentive for an athlete to make an effort to compete naturally.
This, however, proves absolutely nothing regarding Mike’s possible steroid use, but we thought we’d include it anyway.
Based on the evidence listed above, and our pre-existing knowledge of steroids.
We believe that Mike Rashid COULD be on steroids, or could have used steroids in the past to build his hugely impressive physique.
Though we obviously don’t know for sure, based on his appearance, we’d suggest that he could have used HGH, Trenbolone, Anavar, and Testosterone Cypionate.
