Ronnie Coleman was born in Louisiana, in 1964, and was raised by a single mother, along with two sisters and a brother.
Ronnie was a well-behaved child and was keen on sports from a very young age.

Brian told Ronnie that he could train at his gym for free if he allowed Brian to train him.
Big Ron agreed. Ronnie entered his first show shortly afterward and won.
He continued to dominate amateur shows until earning his IFBB pro card aged 27.
Ronnie bulked up to close to 300 pounds, placed okay against the pros, before eventually winning his first Olympia in 1998.
Until 2006, Ronnie dominated the Olympia stage and formed a competitive rivalry with Jay Cutler, who eventually dethroned Ron in 2006.
