If you’re a fan of bodybuilding, you’ll know how it has undergone quite the transformation in recent years.
For more than a decade, it was the Mr. Olympia athletes such as Ronnie Coleman, Jay Cutler, Phil Heath, and the like.
Dominating the magazines and sponsorship deals.
The smaller guys in other divisions didn’t really get a look in.
Sure, they had their fans, but the heavyweights competing for the Olympia each September in Vegas were what stole the show.
When Flex Lewis started turning heads in the 212 division.
People started to think outside of the box and saw potential in smaller bodybuilders.
Now, Flex Lewis and the guys in the 212 division were still huge.
It’s just that they were shorter than the heavyweights.
So obviously the shorter they are, the bigger they’ll look at lighter weights.
Then came the classic physique division, and indeed.
The physique division.
These divisions placed an emphasis on aesthetics rather than size.
Which is why we are looking at Sergi Constance today.
Specifically, we will be trying to answer the question of does Sergi Constance take steroids or is he natural?
You see, guys like Sergi are still big dudes.
but they don’t look like genetic freaks like many IFBB pro bodybuilders.
They carry a lot of muscle, but are always in amazing condition and very aesthetic.
This, however, makes it tricky to decide whether they’re using steroids or if they are simply natural.
Let’s focus on Sergi today and see what we can find out.
Table Of Contents
First and foremost, we do not condone the use of steroids.
Steroids are dangerous and they have been known to take lives, especially when abused.
In the same breath, we certainly are not going to judge those that use them.
The simple truth is that people will use steroids whether legal or not.
And we’d rather they knew what they were doing.
The content of this article is based purely upon speculation on our part.
We do not know Sergi Constance and we have no real evidence that he is on steroids, or that he has ever used steroids.
What we will be doing, however, is looking at what we know about steroids and Sergi.
In order to make an educated guess.
So, let’s try to find out an answer to the question of does Sergi Constance take steroids or is he natural?
Sergi Constance is one of the most famous and popular fitness models in the world.
Originating from Spain.
Sergi has one of the best physiques in the fitness industry.
He stands at 6ft 1 in height and weighs an average of 207 pounds.
This number goes up or down slightly.
Depending on whether he is competing on stage or if he is bulking up in the off-season.
Typically, however, he walks around at between 6 and 8% body fat, even when in the off-season.
Sergi grew up in a fairly modest household and from humble beginnings.
He has managed to build himself a small empire.
Based solely around his physique and his desire to be better.
He is now one of the most recognized names, faces, and physiques in the fitness industry.
And is even the CEO of his very own company.
He has won countless shows, has appeared in numerous fitness magazines.
And he continues to inspire people all over the globe.
Sergi had a fairly average upbringing in Spain.
And honestly, there’s nothing of interest to really speak of here.
He had fun as a child, he went to school.
He was always physically active, and he had a passion for the sport.
He was born in Valencia and at school.
It was always physical education that he looked forward to the most.
He quickly found that he was good at a wide range of sporting activities and exercises and went on to study in greater detail at the University of Valencia.
This university is renowned for its sports science and physical education.
And Sergi knew this, which is why he choose to attend.
Through sport, he was in the gym a lot and as time went by.
He started to discover that when he lifted weights and watched his diet.
His body seemed to respond more favorably to training and diet than most.
He quickly built a lean and aesthetic physique.
He was also a good-looking guy and his smoldering Spanish charm.
Along with his good looks and impressive physique, helped him to land a job as a model.
He earned his degree in sports science and physical education and, along with his modeling work.
He was now turning heads in all of the right places.
He set his sights on getting into the fitness industry properly.
Once Sergi had secured his bachelor’s degree.
He decided to pursue a career in the fitness industry.
He took up fitness modeling for various magazines and began competing on stage.
He won countless shows as he was lean, muscular, aesthetic, and was ALWAYS in shape.
It didn’t take Sergi long to secure his WBFF Pro Muscle Model card.
Sergi quickly proved to be a fan favorite at his shows and he began building a following on social media.
Soon the supplement companies came calling and he became an ambassador for a wide variety of different supplement companies and clothing brands.
Sergi is now one of the most recognized and popular names in the fitness industry and when he isn’t building his own company and working as a personal trainer in Miami.
You’ll find him competing on stage against Jeremy Buendia.
And posing in a variety of different fitness magazines.
Sergi has a very lean and muscular physique.
Which he has been able to build due to years upon years of training.
He follows a simple 5-day split and makes sure that each major muscle group gets worked at least once per week, if not more.
He does low-intensity cardio, favoring slow and steady cardio sessions lasting around 45 minutes at a time.
He says this helps him to burn fat and keep the fat off for good.
He does cardio 3 x per week, sometimes going with 30 minutes if he is in a rush.
As for lifting, he favors heavy compounds such as chest presses, squats, and deadlifts.
As far as diet goes, Sergi eats clean, and when we say clean, we mean super-clean.
His carbs are primarily from complex sources.
He consumes healthy fats from foods like salmon and avocados.
And his protein is mainly from lean meats, along with protein shakes.
As far as supplements go.
He goes with whey and casein proteins, BCAAs, multivitamins, glutamine, and Nitric Oxide for vascularity when he is competing or dieting down for a shoot.
One thing that people aren’t sure about, however, is whether or not Sergi only uses the aforementioned supplements or if he also uses steroids.
As Sergi has such an impressive physique.
And as his condition is always awesome.
This has to lead to a number of people, mainly on social media.
Accusing him of taking anabolic steroids.
But is this the case?
Well, we don’t know for certain.
but we can certainly try to find out.
Here’s a look at some pieces of potential evidence both for, and against, steroid use on Sergi’s part.
First and foremost, when looking for pictures of Sergi Constance from years back.
Well, good luck with that is all we are going to say.
Sergi Constance obviously values his privacy as there are virtually no pictures of how he used to look when he first started training seriously and pursuing fitness modeling.
However, there are a few pics out there, one of which is from 2010.
Now, in that pic, Sergi is honestly still very big.
In fact, dare we say he looks slightly bigger than he is now.
He was a lot paler back then and that pic was obviously an off-season pic, but even so.
If you compare that picture with Sergi today.
Honestly, he doesn’t look that much bigger at all.
His condition nowadays is much better.
But again, that pic back then was taken off-season when he wasn’t as tanned.
Most people when they start using steroids will balloon up in weight and size and will pack on heaps of muscle in a relatively short space of time.
This didn’t happen with Sergi.
So, we can either conclude that he is natural.
Or that he started using steroids before 2010, and has stayed on-cycle ever since.
We’re not quite sure what we think at this stage.
So let’s keep looking.
In Sergi’s newer pics compared to the one and only one floating around since 2010.
You can see that Sergi is big and jacked and that he is very vascular.
Now, compare this to 2010 and you can see that his vascularity is much better than it was back then.
However, you can see that in 2010.
Sergi is off-season, meaning that he was clearly bulking up and trying to build muscle in preparation for a show.
This would also explain the lack of a tan.
Now, since then, Sergi has gotten a lot more vascular, and as you know, increased vascularity is often a sign of steroid use.
You see, some steroids act as vasodilators and cause the blood vessels to expand.
Which allows more blood to flow through them.
Not only that, but steroids like Dianabol have actually been found to increase red blood cell counts.
Which again, means that more blood passes through the blood vessels, so they look bigger and more noticeable.
Not only that but as some steroids promote fat loss, the less fat you carry, the more vascular you become.
Again, unfortunately, as there are no pictures of Sergi from back in the day.
We have no idea whether he used to be vascular or not.
What we can see, however, is that he is a lot more vascular in his current condition, than he was in 2010.
He still had ABS in 2010 by the way.
In fact, he was fairly shredded.
Despite this, he had very little vascularity, and now he has veins in his delts, biceps, legs, and even on his abs.
When people run steroids, often they find that their traps and deltoids begin to grow first.
This is because these muscle groups have the most androgen receptors in the body.
So they respond quickly to training stimuli.
Sergi has very rounded deltoids now.
Especially when compared with back in 2010.
Now, it could just be that over the last 8 years.
He has been smashing his delts and has been doing more military presses, lateral raises, and upright rows to bring his delts up.
Another theory, however, is that he has jumped onto a steroid cycle and has found that these parts of his anatomy have responded very well to the gear and to the training that he is doing.
Sergi is always in shape.
In the 2010 pic, he posted as his ‘before’ pic.
He was still shredded with visible ABS at around 9% body fat or so.
Nowadays, even in the off-season.
He sits at anything from 4% - 7%.
He always has visible abs and is always ripped to shreds like Thomas Delauer, no matter what.
To maintain this type of condition naturally is possible.
But is not easy.
Based on the evidence above, we believe that he could have used steroids in the past.
Although we wouldn’t be shocked if he was a natural with great genes either.
The problem is that we have no idea what he used to look like.
So we can’t really make a comparison.
Therefore, he could have used something.
But he also could be natural.
