We all know how great a basketball player he was, but only a few of us knew that he is a bodybuilding fan as well. O’Neal is a hall of fame holder in basketball and one of the legends of the game.
2020 Olympia is drawing nearer, and all the bodybuilding community was waiting to know who would be this year’s Olympia Ambassador. The wait is finally over now.
On 22 January, American Media and Chief Olympia Officer Dan Solomon released a press release.
Not to forget, Dan Solomon is in charge of promoting and producing the Mr. Olympia competition.
The news came out in the press release that Shaquille O’Neal is named the 2020 Olympia Ambassador.

It was only a year ago that this position was created.
In 2019, Mr. Olympia’s management decided to nominate Olympia Ambassador each year from now on. The first Olympia Ambassador was 4-time Mr. Olympia winner Jay Cutler.
Though bodybuilding is expanding each day, this decision was taken to particularly involve the celebrities in bodybuilding and also create awareness regarding fitness.
The management wanted to expand Mr. Olympia’s content popularity beyond its fan base and bodybuilding enthusiasts.
