Roids, gear, juice, steds, peds, AAS.
These are just a few of the slang terms used to describe androgenic anabolic steroids.
Steroids have got a lot of bad press over the years.
In fact, the mainstream media have figuratively ripped them to shreds.
We’re not here to try and pull the wool over anybody’s eyes.
We know that steroids are dangerous.
And we know that they can potentially be fatal.
The thing to remember is that, like anything.
If you abuse them, the risks are far greater.
As dangerous as steroids can be.
If you are looking to make some serious gains in the gym and pack some serious muscle onto your frame.
Anabolic steroids can potentially work wonders for you.
Steroids allow people to gain more muscle than they could ever imagine.
They build muscle, they burn fat.
They improve athletic performance.
They speed up recovery rates, and much more besides.
But how do you tell if somebody is using steroids?
Well, you can’t always tell.
Which is why today we’re looking at is Thomas Delauer on steroids or natural?
You see, Thomas is an athlete with an amazing physique.
He looks so amazing, however, that this had led to people questioning whether his gains were natural, or the result of the use of anabolic steroids.
So, what do we think?
Before we begin, it’s first worth noting that the content contained within this article is based purely on speculation on our part.
We have no idea whether Thomas is indeed natural or not, and in all honesty, we probably never will.
We are in no way, shape, or form, associated with Thomas Delauer and therefore the content of this article will be our own humble opinions, and nothing more.
So, without any further ado.
Here’s a look at whether we believe he is natty, or if he is on gear.
Table Of Contents
If you’re not familiar with Thomas Delauer you soon will be.
Thomas is a social media fitness guru with one of the most impressive physiques in the industry.
He stands at 5ft 10 - same as Layne Norton and weighs in at around 190 – 200 pounds on average.
He is also ripped to shreds.
Even in the off-season. (such as Helmut Strebl)
Thomas, however, has a large fan-base and generally is not the target of online trolling or hate.
This is due to the fact that he is an honest, genuine, down-to-earth guy that gives honest advice based on his own past experiences.
Thomas Delauer doesn’t spout your typical bro-science garbage that a lot of Insta-trainers seem to spout.
He doesn’t keep harping on about deficits, hypertrophy, atrophy, gains, anabolic windows, anatomical physiology.
And other technical terms that the average gym-goer wouldn’t understand in their wildest dreams.
He instead gives honest, easy-to-understand tried and tested advice that really works.
Despite his popularity, he still has his haters.
And more often than not, they’re quick to accuse him of using steroids.
When you see how amazing his physique is.
However, it’s easy to understand why.
Thomas has huge pecs, six-pack ABS, boulder shoulders, big biceps, and triceps.
And a very impressive set of wheels (that’s slang for legs in the fitness industry by the way).
It is hard to believe that his impressive physique can be attained naturally.
But, for now, we’re going to give him the benefit of the doubt and try to address whether he could potentially be natty.
Thomas actually grew up in Italy and was surrounded by family members who all promoted a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
They encouraged him to pursue sports and physical activity.
And living in such a wonderful part of the Mediterranean.
He was also fed a variety of fresh and healthy produce.
At age 12 he was studying art, and while sculpting from clay.
He states that he fell in love with the perfect physique.
In the movie Pumping Iron, Arnold Schwarzenegger compares bodybuilding to sculpting.
And you can understand where he was coming from.
He states that, rather than sculpting physiques from clay.
He instead wanted to sculpt his own.
He took a keen interest in bodybuilding and resistance training.
He would look online, read books and magazines, watch DVDs, and try to gain as much info about bodybuilding as he possibly could.
Like many newbies, however, his first foray into bodybuilding was a bit of a fail.
Though he says that his mistakes helped shape him into the successful man he is today.
Thomas says that his biggest mistake was trying to bulk up too quickly.
He would consume far too many calories.
At the wrong times during the day.
And he gained weight, and not good weight either.
Still, though, he was able to gain some bulk.
And he was also able to learn from his mistakes.
This helped shape him into one of the most aesthetic humans to ever walk the earth.
What’s more, it helped him pass on his knowledge and wisdom to his clients.
And his followers on social media, meaning that they won’t make the same mistakes that he made.
We know that Thomas Delauer is one of the most aesthetic bodybuilders on the planet, but how did he build such an awesome physique?
Now, we know that some of you will be thinking about steroids.
And we know that the main topic of this article is to look at is Thomas Delauer on steroids or natural.
But before that, let’s look at some of his key training principles and inside tips.
He states that training is a game of health and that ultimately we should never lose sight of why we’re training in the first place.
We all have goals and objectives in life, and training is no different.
Thomas states that training should be about feeling good.
Rather than just vanity, although a little vanity certainly doesn’t hurt.
He says that to motivate himself.
He doesn’t get fired up by listening to Disturbed or Rage Against the Machine at high volumes, nor does he chug gallons of pre-workout.
He instead digs deep mentally and thinks about how far he’s come and how much he has achieved.
He has landed multiple sponsorships and magazine deals.
He motivates others, he has one of the best physiques in the industry.
And he is one of the most successful social media fitness gurus currently on the scene.
He also doesn’t always listen to music when training.
As he says listening to music with headphones can sometimes be ignored.
Right, well, the moment of truth has arrived.
Here’s a look at whether we think Thomas Delauer is on steroids or natural.
Remember, this is purely speculation on our parts.
Here are some potential pieces of evidence for and against possible steroid use on his part.
Interestingly enough, Thomas’ transformation isn’t like most bodybuilders.
Normally when we look at bodybuilders and possible steroid use.
When they transform their bodies.
They do so by bulking up and adding dozens of pounds of muscle to their frames.
Thomas, however, hasn’t done that.
Do you remember that we said that Thomas’ main mistake was bulking up too quickly?
Well, we weren’t lying.
While in his twenties, Thomas was close to 300 pounds.
And it was mainly fat rather than muscle.
He decided to change his life and lost more than 100 pounds in weight, and documented it.
Through this weight loss.
He was inspired to become a trainer and to help others struggling with their own weight issues.
Thomas lost over 100 pounds while building/maintaining muscle mass.
He looked awesome.
Steroids can help you to do exactly that, but there are plenty of people that have lost that kind of weight naturally as well so that neither proves nor disproves the use of steroids.
Not only is Thomas close to 200 pounds of solid muscle.
But he is also ripped to shreds.
It’s rare that you see him at any higher than 6% body fat.
And he has had abs for as long as we can remember.
To simply get down into single-digit body fat percentages for a short period of time is hard enough.
But to get so low, and to maintain that type of condition all year round.
That takes a special kind of passion and dedication.
Theoretically, steroids would make it easier to control your body fat and muscle mass levels, as they speed up fat loss and promote muscle growth and repair.
Of course, you can also stay in great shape through diet, cardio, and lifting, but it is very tough.
We do know, however, that Thomas is very dedicated and he’s the type of guy that.
When he sets his sights on a goal, he doesn’t stop until he has achieved it.
Another dead giveaway of a bodybuilder using steroids is to look at their diet.
Now, if they eat clean, it can be tough.
But if their diet sucks, this can be a giveaway.
Well, some powerful steroids like Trenbolone, are so thermogenic that they allow people to burn body fat.
Even when they are in what would be classed as a caloric surplus.
There are bodybuilders on steroids that finish training and head out for pizza, burgers, fries, cheesecake, fried chicken, cookies, ice cream.
And plenty of other junk that is full of fat and would ordinarily cause people to become obese from simply looking at the stuff.
Despite eating plenty of junk, they still often have slightly visible ABS and are leaner than 90% of the general population.
Now, Thomas’ diet has changed a lot since he lost the weight, and now his diet is on-point.
He places an emphasis on health and so he eats super-clean meals for the majority of the time.
What’s more, he also takes in far less protein than other bodybuilders.
Some bodybuilders swear you need 2g of protein per pound of bodyweight.
Thomas, however, has linked to several scientific studies that have indicated that you actually only need to take in as much as 0.6g of protein per pound of bodyweight, to build muscle mass.
So, he only takes in around 120g of protein per day.
It could be that that’s all he needs, or could it be that the reason he looks so great.
Despite taking in so little protein, is because he could be using steroids?
Some people look like walking, talking, scientific steroid experiments gone bad because they’re on so much gear.
Their faces are bright red, they’re losing their hair, they’re covered in acne.
They’re oily, their delts and traps are huge.
They’re about 100 pounds heavier than they should be, and it’s obvious they are on steroids.
Thomas, however, has no obvious signs of steroid use at all.
His skin isn’t flushed, he has no gyno, no acne, no hair loss.
His shoulders don’t look like boulders, and as big as he is.
He isn’t huge for somebody his size. (Like Kali muscle case)
In fact, other than having a great physique.
You can’t really say that there are any signs he used steroids at all.
So, could he be natty after all?
So, the verdict is in.
Is Thomas Delauer on steroids or natural?
Well, after much deliberation, we believe that Thomas Delauer is, in fact, a natty.
He looks great, and we have certainly seen steroid users with less-impressive physiques than his.
But we’ve also seen natural athletes with more impressive physiques.
So, we believe that he is natural.
Although perhaps Clenbuterol, Winstrol or Turinabol MAY has been used to help him drop so much fat while building/maintaining muscle.
